SOOP Strategies Inc. is a highly specialized mining and sustainability brand delivering transformational sustainability performance solutions to our clients.

2021 Has Been About Community

The importance of human connection has never been more apparent than it has since the pandemic began. Although the pandemic has restricted our movements and requires us to socially distance from others, SOOP Strategies has been keenly involved in community activities and support this year, at a safe distance of course.
Much of our client work has involved significant outreach to stakeholders (via phone or zoom), to better understand their perspectives and interests, whether it be for sustainability reporting or ESG strategy development. The outcome of one of our projects will culminate in a web-based tool for minerals exploration and development companies that will provide the fundamentals of social impacts to better assess and address impacts on Indigenous host communities.
SOOP is always at the forefront in supporting what we are passionate about: working with the minerals development industry to be a valuable member of thriving communities.

Mentorship and Support to Girls in STEM

Our annual Sustainability Breakfast Event in Toronto during the 2021 PDAC Convention was cancelled due to COVID-19. Instead, we decided to donate our event budget to hEr VOLUTION, a Canadian organization that supports young girls to explore careers in STEM, and we subsequently began a mentoring relationship too!

Every Child Matters

For Canada's first National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, SOOP donated equivalent of one days' salary on behalf our employees to the Woodlands Cultural Centre in Brantford Ontario. The Centre promotes and preserves Indigenous history, art, language and culture, and is site of the former Mohawk Institute Indian Residential School.

Supporting Native Child and Family Services of Toronto

Our team member, Avi Inbar, participated in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on October 17, 2021, in the in-person 10K event, fundraising for the Native Child and Family Services of Toronto.
